RNA sequencing of the human milk fat layer transcriptome reveals distinct gene expression profiles at three stages of lactation. [PDF]
Aware of the important benefits of human milk, most U.S. women initiate breastfeeding but difficulties with milk supply lead some to quit earlier than intended.

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Non-genetic factors of udder morphology traits in Istrian ewes
Considering the facts that Istrian sheep is Croatian indigenous breed with the highest milk production, and increasing interest of local farmers for machine milking implementation, the aim of this study was to determine the factors affecting udder ...

We investigated the toxicity of 12 active compounds commonly found in herbal weight loss supplements (WLS) using human liver and colon cell models. Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate was the only compound showing significant toxicity. Metabolic profiling revealed protein degradation, disrupted energy and lipid metabolism suggesting that the inclusion of EGCG ...

Influence of paragenetic factors on production and chemical composition of Paška sheep milk
Since the produced Paška sheep milk is entirely processed in Pag cheese, it is of great importance to ensure a uniform milk production of prescribed chemical composition and hygienic quality.

Modelling the lactation curve of dairy cows using the differentials of growth functions [PDF]
Descriptions of entire lactations were investigated using six mathematical equations. comprising the differentials of four growth functions (logistic. Gompertz, Schumacher and Morgan) and two other equations (Wood and Dijkstra).

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Сomposition of cows’ butterfat in different terms after calving
Influence of the lactation stage on cow milk’s fatty acids composition has been studied. The lactation stage has influence on the content of biologically valuable unsaturated myristoleic, linoleic and linolenic acids.
