Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Revisiting Open Clusters within 200 pc in the Solar Neighborhood with Gaia DR3

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
In this study, we develop a membership identification method and apply it for 30 open clusters (OCs) within 200 pc of the Sun using astrometric data of Gaia DR3.

Massive Star Formation in Luminous Infrared Galaxies: Giant HII Regions and their relation to Super Star Clusters

open access: yes, 2002
We have used HST/NICMOS H-band narrow-band Pa-alpha (at rest 1.87micron) images to identify star clusters and HII regions respectively in a sample of 8 luminous infrared galaxies (LIRGs).

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Spectroscopic and Photometric Confirmation of 3 Globular and 14 Intermediate-age Clusters in the Irr II Galaxy NGC 3077

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
We present the results from spectroscopic and photometric analysis of 17 globular cluster (GC) candidates in the Irr II galaxy NGC 3077. The GC candidates were selected on the Hubble Space Telescope images and were cleaned of foreground Galatic stars ...

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

VLA 22 GHz Imaging of Massive Star Formation in Local Wolf–Rayet Galaxies

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We present 22 GHz imaging of regions of massive star formation within the Local Wolf–Rayet Galaxy Sample, a NSF Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array survey of 30 local galaxies showing spectral features of Wolf–Rayet (WR) stars.

The influence of residual gas expulsion on the evolution of the Galactic globular cluster system and the origin of the Population II halo

open access: yes, 2007
We present new results on the evolution of the mass function of the globular cluster system of the Milky Way, taking the effect of residual gas expulsion into account.

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Forest Fire Clustering: A Novel Tool for Identifying Star Members of Clusters

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
In the era of a data-driven landscape, the development of an efficient and interpretable method has become a pivotal tool for robustly identifying memberships of clusters.
