Starspot Distribution and Flare Events in Two Young Low-mass Stars Using TESS Data

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Wide-field high-precision photometric observations such as the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) allowed the investigation of the stellar magnetic activity of cool stars. M dwarf starspots and stellar flares are the main indicators of magnetic

The Outrigger Technique for Medial Opening Wedge High Tibial Osteotomy Using a Hintermann Distractor to Control the Osteotomy Gap Opening and the Posterior Tibial Slope

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Medial opening wedge high tibial osteotomy is a successful procedure for correction of varus malalignment in isolation or in combination with other knee ligamentous and cartilage procedures. This article describes a technique for medial opening wedge high tibial osteotomy using a Hintermann distractor, which allows better control of the ...

Interpreting nebular emission lines in the high-redshift Universe

open access: yesThe Open Journal of Astrophysics
One of the most remarkable outcomes from \textit{JWST} has been the exquisite UV-optical spectroscopic data for galaxies in the high-redshift Universe ($z \geq 5$), enabling the use of various nebular emission lines to infer conditions of the ...

Arthroscopic Modified Trapezoid‐Shaped Double‐Row Repair of Medium‐Large‐Sized Rotator Cuff Tears

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract The double‐pulley double‐row technique has shown many advantages in the treatment of rotator cuff tears in clinics. However, multiple factors affect rotator cuff healing and retearing, including tendon‐to‐bone contact area, repair tension, and gap formation.

The Solar-like Latitudinal Distribution of Flaring Activities Revealed by TESS, APOGEE, and GALAH

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
Flare flux reflects the contribution from active regions rather than the contribution from the entire hemisphere of a star. Unlike the amplitude of light curves caused by starspots, flare detection is independent of inclination.

Stellar flare detection in XMM-Newton with gradient-boosted trees

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics
Context. The EXTraS project, based on data collected with the XMM-Newton observatory, provides us with a vast amount of light curves for X-ray sources. For each light curve, EXTraS also provides us with a set of features.

Anchor‐Based Double‐Row Suture‐Bridge Repair for Stener‐Like Distal Medial Collateral Ligament Lesions of the Knee

open access: yesArthroscopy Techniques, EarlyView.
Abstract Stener‐like distal injuries of the superficial medial collateral ligament (MCL) are characterized by displacement of the distal ligament stump superficial to the pes anserinus fascia, preventing anatomic healing and resulting in persistent valgus and anteromedial rotatory instability.

Pharmacokinetics, safety, tolerability and fluorescence imaging of nizaracianine triflutate administered in three divided doses to healthy volunteers

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Aim Fluorescence‐guided surgery enhances intraoperative visualization of anatomical structures. Nizaracianine is a near‐infrared fluorescent agent that is exclusively renally cleared in animal models. It enables real‐time ureteral imaging and identification, potentially reduces risk of injury and facilitates assessment before surgical closure.

The Sun as a benchmark of flaring activity in stellar coronae

open access: yes, 2009
The solar corona is a template to study and understand stellar activity. However the solar corona differs from that of active stars: the Sun has lower X-ray luminosity, and on average cooler plasma temperatures.
