Investigating the Temperature Sensitivity of UV Line Ratios in the 280 nm Region of Solar-like Stars

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Stellar UV spectra are fundamental diagnostics of physical and magnetic properties of stars. For instance, lines like Mg ii at 280 nm serve as valuable indicators of stellar activity, providing insights into the activity levels of Sun-like stars and ...

Central Dysmyelination in SSADH‐Deficient Humans and Mice

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Succinic semialdehyde dehydrogenase deficiency (SSADHD) is an inherited metabolic disorder characterized by an accumulation of γ‐aminobutyric (GABA). In addition to its synaptic role as an inhibitory neurotransmitter, GABA also plays an important role in myelination.

Translating a Preclinically Tested 15 Hz rTMS Protocol to Humans With Chronic Spinal Cord Injury: A Safety and Feasibility Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a non‐invasive brain stimulation strategy with a demonstrated potential to reinforce the residual pathways after a spinal cord injury (SCI). A preclinically tested high‐frequency (15 Hz) rTMS (15 Hz rTMS) protocol was shown to induce corticospinal tract axon regeneration growth ...

Medication Use in Multiple Sclerosis: A Population‐Based Comparison With the General Danish Population

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the overall use of prescription medications among individuals with multiple sclerosis compared to the general population, with a focus on treatments beyond disease‐modifying therapies. Methods We conducted a nationwide, registry‐based study in Denmark.

The Stellar Abundances and Galactic Evolution Survey (SAGES). IV. Surface Gravity Estimation and Giant–Dwarf Separation with the DDO51 Filter

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Reliable estimation of stellar surface gravity (log g ) for a large sample is crucial for evaluating stellar evolution models and understanding galactic structure; however, it is not easy to accomplish due to the difficulty in gathering a large ...

Stellarator physics evaluation studies

open access: yes, 1983
Stellarator/torsatron configurations with a wide range of parameters have been evaluated and compared in terms of their vacuum field topology, magnetohydrodynamic equilibrium and stability, and guiding center orbit confinement. The torsatron configurations are found to be the most suitable choice for a near-term physics experiment.
