Hawk‐eye‐inspired perception algorithm of stereo vision for obtaining orchard 3D point cloud navigation map

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, 2023
The binocular stereo vision is the lowest cost sensor for obtaining 3D information. Considering the weakness of long‐distance measurement and stability, the improvement of accuracy and stability of stereo vision is urgently required for application of ...

Bimodal Active Stereo Vision [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We present a biologically inspired active vision system that incorporates two modes of perception. A peripheral mode provides a broad and coarse perception of where mass is in the scene in the vicinity of the current fixation point, and how that mass is moving. It involves fusion of actively acquired depth data into a 3D occupancy grid.

VAE+DDPG: An Attention‐Enhanced Variational Autoencoder for Deep Reinforcement Learning‐Based Autonomous Navigation in Low‐Light Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Variational Autoencoder+Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient addresses low‐light failures of infrared depth sensing for indoor robot navigation. Stage 1 pretrains an attention‐enhanced Variational Autoencoder (Convolutional Block Attention Module+Feature Pyramid Network) to map dark depth frames to a well‐lit reconstruction, yielding a 128‐D latent code ...

Robot‐Assisted Doppler Optical Coherence Tomography for Intraoperative Evaluation of Microvascular Anastomoses

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This work presents a robot‐assisted Doppler optical coherence tomography system for autonomous, wide‐field intraoperative assessment of microvascular anastomoses. Machine‐vision–guided probe positioning and adaptive scan planning enable three‐dimensional structural and hemodynamic imaging over extended vessel segments.

GraphNeuralCloth: A Graph‐Neural‐Network‐Based Framework for Non‐Skinning Cloth Simulation

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This study presents a cloth motion capture system and a point‐cloud‐to‐mesh processing method to support the prediction of real‐world fabric deformation. GraphNeuralCloth, a graph neural‐network (GNN)‐based framework is also proposed to estimate the cloth morphology change in real time.

Semi‐autonomous Navigation of Magnetic Microcarriers for Knee Cartilage Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Autonomous navigation of magnetic microcarriers in complex 3D environments is investigated through a semi‐autonomous strategy integrating magnetic actuation with monocular visual feedback. Real‐time global tracking is achieved via radio‐frequency‐based localization and depth estimation, while model‐based computation determines optimal steering forces ...
