Cloning, expression, purification, and structural modeling of the Chandipura virus matrix protein
This research protocol offers a guide for the cloning, expression, and purification of the Chandipura virus matrix protein using E. coli. It also includes a step‐by‐step procedure for cloning, expressing, and conducting fluorescence imaging of GFP‐fused Chandipura virus matrix protein in mammalian cell lines.

An NMR Study on How Steric Effects Affect Synergistic Effects in Surfactant Mixtures
NMR spectra of aqueous solutions of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB)/triton X-100 (TX-100), sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)/TX-100 and CTAB/TX-100/SDS surfactant mixtures were acquired.

Active Matter Ratchets with an External Drift
When active matter particles such as swimming bacteria are placed in an asymmetric array of funnels, it has been shown that a ratchet effect can occur even in the absence of an external drive. Here we examine active ratchets for two dimensional arrays of

SmallTalk: a novel small‐sized fusion tag for peptide expression and purification
The SmallTalk fusion tag allows for the efficient expression and purification of soluble recombinant proteins or peptides in Escherichia coli. Testing with SmallTalk‐GFP confirmed that the proteins were soluble and folded correctly, while SmallTalk‐Bin1b maintained its antimicrobial activity against various bacterial isolates. This streamlined workflow

Steric Effects Govern the Photoactivation of Phytochromes
AbstractPhytochromes constitute a superfamily of photoreceptor proteins existing in two forms that absorb red (Pr) and far‐red (Pfr) light. Although it is well‐known that the conversion of Pr into Pfr (the biologically active form) is triggered by a Z→E photoisomerization of the linear tetrapyrrole chromophore, direct evidence is scarce as to why this ...

Tandem VHH targeting distinct EGFR epitopes were engineered into a monovalent bispecific antibody (7D12‐EGA1‐Fc) with more potent ADCC without increasing affinity to EGFR. Structural modeling of 7D12‐EGA1‐Fc showed cross‐linking of separate EGFR domains to enhance CD16a engagement on NK cells.

In previous studies we found that the asymmetric induction of bis(oxazolines) based on D-glucosamine strongly depended on the steric demand of the 3-O-substituents.

On the theory of energy distributions of products of molecular beam reactions involving transient complexes [PDF]
Theoretical energy distributions of reaction products in molecular beam systems are described for reactions proceeding via transient complexes. Loose and tight transition states are considered for the exit channel.

From the double-stranded helix to the chiral nematic phase of B-DNA: a molecular model
B-DNA solutions of suitable concentration form left-handed chiral nematic phases (cholesterics). Such phases have also been observed in solutions of other stiff or semiflexible chiral polymers; magnitude and handedness of the cholesteric pitch are ...

Expanding Hereditary Spastic Paraplegias Limits: Biallelic SPAST Variants in Cerebral Palsy Mimics
ABSTRACT Objective Hereditary spastic paraplegias (HSP) are rare neurodegenerative disorders marked by spasticity and lower limb weakness. The most common type, SPG4, is usually autosomal dominant and caused by SPAST gene variants, typically presenting as pure HSP.
