Could Polyphenols Help in the Control of Rheumatoid Arthritis?
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic, systemic, joint-invading, autoimmune inflammatory disease, which causes joint cartilage breakdown and bone damage, resulting in functional impairment and deformation of the joints. The percentage of RA patients has

Molecular analysis of the early interaction between the grapevine flower and Botrytis cinerea reveals that prompt activation of specific host pathways leads to fungus quiescence [PDF]
Grape quality and yield can be impaired by bunch rot, caused by the necrotrophic fungus Botrytis cinerea. Infection often occurs at flowering, and the pathogen stays quiescent until fruit maturity.

Scintillator gamma-ray detectors with silicon photomultiplier readouts for high-energy astronomy [PDF]
Space-based gamma-ray detectors for high-energy astronomy face strict constraints of mass, volume, and power, and must endure harsh operating environments. Scintillator materials have a long history of successful operation under these conditions, and new

Switching behaviour of stilbene molecular device: a first-principles study
The switching behaviour of stilbene molecular system (SMS) device is investigated with the help of non-equilibrium Green’s function (NEGF) approach using first principles calculation. The transmission spectrum of cis-isomers confirmed that more electrons

Machine Learning Accelerates Crystallization for Structure Determination
Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction (SCXRD) is often constrained by the difficulty of obtaining suitable crystals. Here, a machine learning‐accelerated co‐crystal discovery workflow is established for a crystalline mate strategy that achieves over 95% prediction accuracy and experimentally delivers 114 co‐crystals from 120 candidates.
