Modeling the industry perspective of university-industry collaborative innovation alliances: Player behavior and stability issues

open access: yesInternational Journal of Engineering Business Management, 2022
Many firms find it challenging to develop innovations, evidenced by the ever-mounting number of university-industry research alliances. This study examines the strategic choices of actors who participate in collaborative innovation alliances involving ...

Stochastic Differential Games

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 1972
Consider a stochastic differential system of \(m\) equations \[ d\xi(t)=f(t,\xi(t), y_1,\ldots, y_N)\,dt+ \sigma(t, \xi(t))\,dw(t),\quad \xi(s) =x_0, \] where the player \(y_i\) chooses a control function with values in a control set \(Y_i\). Denote by \(\tau\) the exit time of \(\xi(t)\) from a cylinder \(\{s

Membrane Fusion‐Mediated Cytosolic Delivery of Threose Nucleic Acids via Homotypic Nanoparticles Overcomes Drug Resistance in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces a biomimetic “nanofusion” platform that integrates the biostability of threose nucleic acids (TNA) with homotypic cell‐membrane cloaking to combat drug‐resistant TNBC. By leveraging a non‐canonical membrane‐fusion pathway for direct cytosolic delivery, the platform bypasses endosomal sequestration. To achieve potent AKT2 silencing

Stochastic heterogeneous interaction promotes cooperation in spatial prisoner's dilemma game.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Previous studies mostly investigate player's cooperative behavior as affected by game time-scale or individual diversity. In this paper, by involving both time-scale and diversity simultaneously, we explore the effect of stochastic heterogeneous ...

The complexity of stochastic games

open access: yesInformation and Computation, 1992
We consider the complexity of a natural combinatorial problem, that of deciding the outcome of a special kind of stochastic game. We show that the problem of deciding which player has the greatest chance of winning the game is in the class \(NP\cap co-NP\). A simple stochastic game is a directed graph composed of max, min and average vertices. There is

A Review of Failure Modes and Safety Strategies of Lithium‐Ion Batteries from Materials to Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A cascade‐aware framework is presented for lithium‐ion battery safety, linking thermal runaway initiation, acceleration, runaway reaction, and propagation with material‐, cell/pack‐, and system‐level interventions. By integrating failure mechanisms, quantitative safety indicators, and staged interception strategies, this review highlights how safer ...

AI‐Assisted Digital Single‐Molecule Activity Tracker for Decoupling Intrinsic Heterogeneity from Photo‐Oxidative Damage in High‐Photon‐Flux Enzymology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Employing a digital single‐molecule activity tracker (dSMAT), this research demonstrates that high‐photon‐flux irradiation drives progressive oxidative scarring in polymerases. Unlike simple thermal denaturation, real‐time kinetic tracking dynamically visualizes enzymes degrading into multiple impaired subpopulations.

Model‐Based Time‐Modulated Write Algorithm for 1R Analog Memristive Crossbar Arrays

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A novel model‐based time‐modulated write algorithm efficiently programs analog 1R memristive crossbar arrays by varying pulse duration at a fixed voltage. By leveraging a physics‐based compact model and a dynamic gain mechanism, this approach overcomes device nonlinearities and parasitic effects.

Ban Glyphosate—Does It Affect the Swedish Farmers' Willingness to Grow Cover Crops?

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The cultivation of cover crops is one of the new Eco‐scheme practices introduced in Sweden. This study examines how the design of policy attributes of these schemes influences farmers' willingness to grow cover crops on arable land, with particular focus on the potential impact of a glyphosate ban.

Polytopal Stochastic Games

open access: yes
In this paper we introduce polytopal stochastic games, an extension of two-player, zero-sum, turn-based stochastic games, in which we may have uncertainty over the transition probabilities. In these games the uncertainty over the probabilities distributions is captured via linear (in)equalities whose space of solutions forms a polytope.
