Controlled laser‐drilling of embedded HfO2 membranes creates three layer nanopores with Gaussian‐shaped cavities sculptured in the supporting layers. These embedded solid‐state nanopores slow DNA translocation by 12‐fold compared to SiNx pores, enabling high‐resolution, label‐free detection of short DNAs, RNAs, and proteins.

Best Response Computation in Multiplayer Imperfect-Information Stochastic Games
Computing a best response is a fundamental task in game theory. One of its uses is to compute the degree of approximation error of an approximation of Nash equilibrium strategies.

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

A probabilistic representation for the value of zero-sum differential games with incomplete information on both sides [PDF]
We prove that for a class of zero-sum differential games with incomplete information on both sides, the value admits a probabilistic representation as the value of a zero-sum stochastic differential game with complete information, where both players ...

Consider a stochastic differential system of \(m\) equations \[ d\xi(t)=f(t,\xi(t), y_1,\ldots, y_N)\,dt+ \sigma(t, \xi(t))\,dw(t),\quad \xi(s) =x_0, \] where the player \(y_i\) chooses a control function with values in a control set \(Y_i\). Denote by \(\tau\) the exit time of \(\xi(t)\) from a cylinder \(\{s

Active Learning‐Guided Accelerated Discovery of Ultra‐Efficient High‐Entropy Thermoelectrics
An active learning framework is introduced for the accelerated discovery of high‐entropy chalcogenides with superior thermoelectric performance. Only 80 targeted syntheses, selected from 16206 possible combinations, led to three high‐performance compositions, demonstrating the remarkable efficiency of data‐driven guidance in experimental materials ...

An Exponential Lower Bound for the Latest Deterministic Strategy Iteration Algorithms [PDF]
This paper presents a new exponential lower bound for the two most popular deterministic variants of the strategy improvement algorithms for solving parity, mean payoff, discounted payoff and simple stochastic games. The first variant improves every node

Mean field games with common noise [PDF]
A theory of existence and uniqueness is developed for general stochastic differential mean field games with common noise. The concepts of strong and weak solutions are introduced in analogy with the theory of stochastic differential equations, and ...

Very small cellular compartments can break electroneutrality and harness proton gradients without active transport structures, whereas larger volumes cannot, underscoring why life's critical energy processes are confined in microscopic spaces. ABSTRACT The effect of pH changes in external ionic solutions on liposomes entrapping non‐permeable weak acid ...
