Price Rigidity and Flexibility: Recent Theoretical Developments [PDF]

open access: yes
The price system, the adjustment of prices to changes in market conditions, is the primary mechanism by which markets function and by which the three most basic questions get answered: what to produce, how much to produce and for whom to produce.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

ε-Poly-l-lysine Suppressed Decay Development and Maintained Storage Quality in Guava Fruit by ROS Level Regulation and Antioxidant Ability Enhancement

open access: yesAgriculture
Guava fruit is susceptible to decay, leading to losses in storability and quality. ε-Poly-l-lysine (ε-PL) is a safe antimicrobial polypeptide that has proven to be effective in preserving produce’s quality.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

VARIETY CHARACTERISTICS, TRANSACTIONS COSTS AND MAIZE ADOPTION IN HONDURAS [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper summarizes research into the factors contributing to these low levels of adoption of improved maize varieties in Honduras. Empirical results indicate that transactions costs and production characteristics are important explanators of variety ...

Daya Simpan Benih Jabon Putih [Neolamarckia Cadamba (Roxb.) Bosser] Berdasarkan Populasi Dan Karakteristik Benih (Seed Storability of Jabon Putih [Neolamarckia Cadamba (Roxb.) Bosser] Base on Populations and Seed Characteristics) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Jabon putih [Neolamarckia cadamba (Roxb.) Bosser] has been cultivated in large scale. However it is constrained by the availability of high quality seeds and seed storability information.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Influence of microbiological risks associated with spore-forming microflora on the quality and storability of butter from different production methods

open access: yesПищевые системы
The article presents the results of studies of the effect of spore-forming bacteria on the quality and storability of butter depending on the method of its production  — cream churning (CC) or high-fat cream transformation (HFCT).

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.
