Contact Dermatitis, Volume 95, Issue 5, Page 437-449, November 2026.Post‐occlusion application of protective creams did not consistently reduce occlusion‐induced skin barrier impairment after glove use. Protective efficacy probably depends on formulation and timing, with only immediate pre‐irritant application showing a significant reduction in SLS‐induced barrier disruption.
