Streptomyces alleviate drought stress in tomato plants and modulate the expression of transcription factors ERF1 and WRKY70 genes

, 2020
Application of PGPRs that are tolerant to abiotic stresses is a promising approach to reduce the negative effects of drought stress and increase crop production.

β-Lactamase genes of Streptomyces badius, Streptomyces cacaoi and Streptomyces fradiae: Cloning and expression in Streptomyces lividans

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Gene Structure and Expression, 1988
Genes encoding extracellular beta-lactamases (EC 3.5.2.6) of Gram-positive Streptomyces badius, Streptomyces cacaoi and Streptomyces fradiae have been cloned into Streptomyces lividans. The beta-lactamase gene of S. badius was initially isolated on a 7 kb BamHI fragment and further located on a 1300 bp DNA segment.

Coordinating precursor supply for pharmaceutical polyketide production in Streptomyces.

Current Opinion in Biotechnology, 2020
The widely used polyketide pharmaceuticals in medicine and agriculture are mainly produced by Streptomyces species. These compounds, as secondary metabolites, are not involved in essential cellular processes and are usually produced during the stationary

Actinomycetes (Streptomyces lividans)

2006
Agrobacterium tumefaciens is best known for its ability to transform plants by delivering the T-DNA that is processed and transferred from the resident Ti plasmid to the recipient plant cells. Less well known is the capacity of this Gram-negative bacterium to transfer its T-DNA into fungi and actinomycetes.

Emended descriptions of Streptomyces javensis and Streptomyces rhizosphaericus based on reclassifications of Streptomyces yogyakartensis, Streptomyces cangkringensis, and Streptomyces indonesiensis

International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology
Although some Streptomyces species share identical 16S rRNA gene sequences, their taxonomic relationships have not been adequately re-examined. Type strains of Streptomyces javensis, Streptomyces yogyakartensis and Streptomyces violaceusniger share the same 16S rRNA gene sequence. This study aimed to determine whether S. javensis, S. yogyakartensis and
