Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Physiological monitoring of cardiorespiratory adaptations during rehearsal and performance of contemporary dance. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Previous research has shown that dance class and rehearsal stress different cardiorespiratory energy systems than dance performance. The aim of the present study was to monitor the physiological parameters of a number of dancers during a 12-week ...

Embodied stress: The physiological resonance of psychosocial stress

open access: yesPsychoneuroendocrinology, 2019
Psychosocial stress is a ubiquitous phenomenon in our society. While acute stress responses are necessary and adaptive, excessive activation of neurobiological stress systems can predispose an individual to far-reaching adverse health outcomes. Living in a complex social environment, experiencing stress is not limited to challenges humans face ...

Estresse crônico melhora a função miocárdica sem alterar a atividade do canal-L para Ca+2 em ratos Chronic stress improves the myocardial function without altering L-type Ca+2 channel activity in rats

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Role of stress in progression of Migraine

open access: yesInternational Journal of Endorsing Health Science Research, 2014
The mental and physiological stresses can be an important trigger of migraines & headaches. These strains act to enhance the progression of migraine that could be psychological, physiological stress, Environmental stress or Chemical stress.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Molecular and physiological study of water-deficit stress on selected Eragrostis species

open access: yes, 2002
Bibliography: leaves 60-73.Eragrostis nindensis and Eragrostis tef are wild and domestic grasses respectively that belong to the subfamily Eragrostideae. E. nindensis is desiccation tolerant while E. tef is desiccation sensitive.

Physiological response of glutamine and glutamic acid supplemented broiler chickens to heat stress [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary glutamine (Gln) + glutamic acid (Glu) supplementation on growth performance and physiological stress response broilers exposed to cyclic heat stress.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.
