Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Estimation of Stress Intensity Factors from Crack Opening Displacements Measured by Interference Fringes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Crack opening displacements were measured by the interference method, when a crack propagates in a transparent material like a glass. To determine the position of each order of the interference fringes, Discrete Fourier Transform and Maximum Entropy ...

Stress Intensity Factors for Interacting Cracks

open access: yes, 1987
Experimental stress intensity factors (SIFs) for two interacting straight cracks in plane-homogeneous regions were determined. Photoelastic data were collected from digitally sharpened isochromatic fringe patterns by using a digital image analysis system.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Stress intensity factors of cracks in tapered lug

open access: yes, 2015
This project aims to determine the stress intensity factors, KI of cracks in tapered lug with a hole. These factors are used to predict the crack growth and also the life of structure connected with a tapered lug.

STRESS INTENSITY FACTORS FOR CIRCUMFERENTIAL PERIODIC CRACKED PIPES UNDER BENDING

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2019
Stress intensity factor is an important parameter that characterizes the stress field near the tip in fracture analysis. The simple and effective methods to estimate intensity factor become significant.

MiR‐513a promotes human erythroid differentiation by modulating c‐Jun

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
During early human erythropoiesis, miR‐513a promoted erythroid differentiation in primary human CD34+ hematopoietic stem‐progenitor cells and human TF‐1 erythroleukemic cells by indirectly decreasing c‐Jun and phospho‐c‐Jun expression, which are associated with increased GATA1 expression.

Computation of generalized stress intensity factors of 3D singularities

open access: yes, 2019
International audienceThe 2D stress intensity factor at the tip of a crack plays an essential role in the models of brittle fracture to predict the growth of a pre-existing crack.

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...
