Nonrelativistic string theory and T-duality [PDF]
Nonrelativistic string theory in flat spacetime is described by a two-dimensional quantum field theory with a nonrelativistic global symmetry acting on the worldsheet fields. Nonrelativistic string theory is unitary, ultraviolet complete and has a string

K3 Surfaces and String Duality [PDF]
The primary purpose of these lecture notes is to explore the moduli space of type IIA, type IIB, and heterotic string compactified on a K3 surface. The main tool which is invoked is that of string duality.

T-duality in nonrelativistic open string theory [PDF]
Nonrelativistic open string theory is defined by a worldsheet theory that produces a Galilean invariant string spectrum and is described at low energies by a nonrelativistic Yang-Mills theory [1].

Note about T-duality of non-relativistic string
In this note we perform canonical analysis of T-duality for non-relativistic string in stringy Newton-Cartan background. We confirm recent result that T-duality along longitudinal spatial direction of stringy Newton-Cartan geometry maps non-relativistic ...

Quantum corrected black holes from string T-duality [PDF]
In this letter we present some stringy corrections to black hole spacetimes emerging from string T-duality. As a first step, we derive the static Newtonian potential by exploiting the relation between the T-duality and the path integral duality.

A supermembrane description of string-string duality [PDF]
We show that the open membrane action on $T^3\times S^1/Z^2$ is equivalent to the closed membrane action on K3. The main difference between the two actions is that one generates the KK modes in the worldvolume action which is the strong coupling limit of \IIA\ while the other action generates the KK modes in a worldsheet action.

On Open/Closed String Duality [PDF]
It was recently shown, using the AdS/CFT correspondence, that the low energy effective action of a large $N$ open string theory satisfies a holographic RG flow equation closely related to the Hamilton-Jacobi equation of 5-d supergravity. In this paper we

String breaking, baryons, medium, and gauge/string duality [PDF]
The string breaking phenomenon in QCD can be studied using the gauge/string duality. In this approach, one can make estimates of some of the string breaking distances at non-zero temperature and baryon chemical potential.

2-Group Symmetries of 6D Little String Theories and T-Duality [PDF]
We determine the 2-group structure constants for all the six-dimensional little string theories (LSTs) geometrically engineered in F-theory without frozen singularities. We use this result as a consistency check for T-duality: the 2-groups of a pair of T-
