Gastrointestinal stromal tumors
To evaluate the clinical presentations and immunohistochemical (IHC) properties of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) and to compare them to internationally published data.Thirty-six patients diagnosed with GISTs between January 1997 and December 2015 were retrospectively studied in 2 tertiary hospitals.

Spatial biology in cancer epigenetics
Spatial epigenomics combines molecular profiling with tissue architecture to reveal how gene regulation is organized within intact tissues. In cancer, these technologies uncover the mechanisms driving tumor heterogeneity and microenvironmental interactions, opening new opportunities for biomarker discovery and precision medicine.

Prostate Stromal Tumor of Uncertain Malignant Potential: Case Report With 5-Year Follow-up
Prostate stromal tumor of uncertain malignant potential is a term used to describe a specialized proliferation of stromal cells within the prostate. Most of these tumors tend to be benign, but some can present with local invasion or progress to prostatic

The cell‐autonomous roles of interferon type 1 vary based on duration and intensity. While acute, robust signaling results in cancer cell cytotoxic effects, sustained, low‐level signaling is associated with tumor‐promoting effects. This review summarizes current research of IFN‐1 in cancer and within the clinical setting, with an emphasis on female ...

Cathepsin D Expression in Colorectal Adenocarcinomas and Adenomas
The aim of this study was to investigate the role of cathepsin D in colorectal cancer. For this purpose cathepsin D expression was evaluated by means of immunohistochemistry in stromal and tumor cells of 31 colorectal carcinomas and 29 adenomas ...

Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

IGFBP4 knockdown (KD) impairs preadipocyte proliferation and is associated with IGF1R protein downregulation and attenuated AKT phosphorylation. The mechanisms by which IGFBP4 KD influences the IGF1R/AKT signaling pathway involve newly synthesized proteins and lysosomal degradation pathways. Created in BioRender.

Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor of the Stomach.
We report a case of gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) of the stomach. The patient was a 79-year-old woman with two gastric submucosal tumors detected by ultrasonography. Proximal gastrectomy was carried out and the tumors were diagnosed as GIST by histological and immunohistochemical investigations.
