PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

Electronic, Structural, Optical and Mechanical Properties of Cubic Structured Ln2X3 (Ln = La→Lu & X=O,S): An Empirical Investigation

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics
In this publication, we have examined the structural, optical, and mechanical features of cubic structured lanthanide Ln2X3 (Ln = La→ Lu and X = O, S) series using the valence electron plasma oscillation theory of solids.

ZERO-DIVISOR GRAPHS OF FINITE COMMUTATIVE RINGS: A SURVEY [PDF]

open access: yesSurveys in Mathematics and its Applications, 2020
This article gives a comprehensive survey on zero-divisor graphs of finite commutative rings. We investigate the results on structural properties of these graphs.

Structural and electronic properties of MgO nanotube clusters

open access: yes, 2004
Finite magnesium oxide nanotubes are investigated. Stacks of four parallel squares, hexagons, octagons, and decagons are constructed and studied by the pseudopotential density functional theory within the local-density approximation. Optimized structures

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Effects of Al and Mn Dopant on Structural and Optical Properties of ZnO Thin Film Prepared by Sol-Gel Route

open access: yesWalailak Journal of Science and Technology, 2011
Undoped, 10 wt% Al and 10 wt% Mn doped ZnO thin films were deposited on a glass substrate by sol-gel dip coating. Al ions played an important role in improvement of the c-axis orientation, while Mn ions inhibited the growth along c-axis.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Structural, Physicochemical, and Functional Properties of Waxy and Non-Waxy Foxtail Millet Starches

open access: yesFoods
This study investigated the structural, physicochemical, and functional characteristics of foxtail millet starches (FMSs), including five non-waxy varieties (N-HXMS, N-LXMS, N-QZHS, N-JG21S, N-BLGS) and one waxy control (W-HJGS).

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.
