The sub-chronic toxicity of regular White Spirit in rats
Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology, 2014Hydrocarbon solvents are mostly complex substances (UVCB) with carbon numbers in the range of approximately C5-C20. One of the most common types is a C9-C14 aliphatic solvent containing approximately 20% aromatics and commonly known as White Spirit in Europe and mineral spirits in the US.

Sub-chronic dietary toxicity of potassium perfluorooctanesulfonate in rats
Toxicology, 2003Perfluorooctanesulfonate (PFOS) is a widely disseminated persistent compound found at low (part-per-billion) concentrations in serum and liver samples from humans and fish-eating wildlife. This study investigated the hypotheses that early hepatocellular peroxisomal proliferation and hepatic cellular proliferation are factors in chronic liver response ...

Acute and sub-chronic toxicity studies of honokiol microemulsion
Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology, 2015The purpose of this study was to investigate the acute and sub-chronic toxicity of honokiol microemulsion. In the acute toxicity tests, the mice were intravenously injected graded doses of honokiol microemulsion and were observed for toxic symptoms and mortality daily for 14 days.

Sub-acute and sub-chronic toxicity ofmono-2-ethylhexyl phthalate in the rat
Archives of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, 1981Groups of six male Sprague-Dawley rats were administered single oral doses of mono-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (MEHP) at 50, 100 or 200 mg/kg or di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) at 2,000 mg/kg in 2% gum acacia and were observed clinically for seven days. Body weight and food consumption were not affected by treatment.

Acute and (sub)chronic toxicity of the neonicotinoid imidacloprid on Chironomus riparius
Chemosphere, 2018Impacts of neonicotinoids on non-target insects, including aquatic species, may significantly influence ecosystem structure and functioning. The present study investigated the sensitivity of Chironomus riparius to imidacloprid exposures during 24-h, 10- and 28-days by assessing larval survival, growth, emergence and oxidative stress-related parameters.

Sub-chronic oral toxicity of acetamiprid in Wistar rats
Toxicological & Environmental Chemistry, 2015Acetamiprid is a neoncotinoid insecticide that acts as an agonist to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor used as insecticide in crops and to control fleas on dogs and cats. The objectives of this study are (1) to evaluate the sub-chronic toxicity of orally administered acetamiprid, (2) to estimate the tissue residue levels and (3) to assess the ...
