Subcritical water extraction of bioactive components from algae [PDF]
Subcritical water extraction (SWE) is presented in this chapter as a potent and novel alternative to conventional solvent extraction processes for isolating bioactive components from algae. SWE is defined as extraction with water at temperatures ranging from boiling point to the critical temperature and at pressures high enough to keep the water in a ...

Subcritical water extraction laboratory plant design and application
Demand for different green extraction techniques, which provide shortened extraction time and reduced organic solvent consumption are in constant increase. Subcritical water is a green, cheap and non-toxic processing medium, which makes treatments inexpensive, ecofriendly, more selective and less time consuming.

Abstract Recent focus has shifted toward refining the soft tissue emergence profile to enhance aesthetics, support peri‐implant health, and ensure long‐term success. Traditionally, titanium stock healing abutments or chairside‐customized abutments were used to shape peri‐implant tissues and develop the emergence profile for implant‐supported prostheses.

Sleep Deprivation in Mice: Looking Beyond the Slow Wave Rebound
ABSTRACT Sleep is a fundamental process supporting the dynamic regulation of neural function. Emerging methods have proposed that the aperiodic components of brain signals (such as the spectral slope, spectral intercept, and spectral knee), in addition to entropy‐based measures, offer robust empirical markers of neural states.

ABSTRACT The Gollum Channel System is a land‐detached large‐scale canyon‐channel system situated offshore southwest Ireland on the Northeast Atlantic margin. The system has been considered inactive with downslope gravity flows since the last glacial period, but geophysical data in some of its branches do suggest Holocene activity.
