Journal of Applied Ecology, Volume 63, Issue 5, May 2026.Our findings demonstrate that providing sugar sources reliably supports parasitoid populations and parasitism rate but does not systematically translate into improved pest suppression or yield gains. These results suggest that, for economic and practical reasons, sugar inputs at the edge of cultivated fields should be favoured.

Unraveling water pathways and sources in leafless maples during early spring sap ascent
New Phytologist, Volume 247, Issue 3, Page 1172-1185, August 2025.Summary Maple trees repair cold‐induced embolism by generating positive stem pressure during their leafless state, altering sap transport in ways that remain poorly understood.
