THE SUGAR-CONTENT OF THE BLOOD IN CHILDHOOD [PDF]
In the last few years our knowledge concerning sugar in the circulating blood has made considerable advances. 1 The keen interest aroused by the questions concerned with glycemia has led to the perfection of numerous methods which in turn have resulted in greater numbers of cases being studied.

Association of variation in the sugarcane transcriptome with sugar content [PDF]
Sugarcane is a major crop of the tropics cultivated mainly for its high sucrose content. The crop is genetically less explored due to its complex polyploid genome. Sucrose synthesis and accumulation are complex processes influenced by physiological, biochemical and genetic factors, and the growth environment.

The Effect of Nitrogen on the Growth and Sugar Content of Sugar-beet
Nitrogen fertilizer applied to sugar-beet increased plant and root dry weight and leaf area, and decreased the sugar content of the roots per cent of both fresh and dry weight. Change in leaf area accounted wholly for the increase in plant dry weight produced by nitrogen, because net assimilation rate was unaffected.

THE NITROGENOUS AND SUGAR CONTENT OF THE BLOOD OF THE NEW-BORN [PDF]
The chemistry of the blood of the normal new-born has been studied in only a few cases, largely because of the difficulty of obtaining blood in sufficient amounts for the analysis of more than one constituent. Howland and Marriot 1 have shown that the values for calcium are essentially the same as those found in the adult.
