Solvent-Free Synthesis and Safener Activity of Sulfonylurea Benzothiazolines

open access: yesMolecules, 2017
A series of novel sulfonylurea benzothiazolines was designed by splicing active groups and bioisosterism. A solvent-free synthetic route was developed for the sulfonylurea benzothiazoline derivatives via the cyclization and carbamylation.

Assessing the environmental risks of sulfonylurea pollutants: Insights into the risk priority and structure-toxicity relationships

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety
Sulfonylureas are widely used herbicides globally; however, the health risks associated with exposure to these compounds are poorly understood. This study used fuzzy clustering to categorize 44 sulfonylurea compounds into three risk priority levels (I ...

Treatment of chemical diabetes mellitus with sulfonylurea compounds [PDF]

open access: yesMetabolism, 1973
EFORE DISCUSSING the use of sulfonylurea compounds in the treatment of chemical diabetes, we must ask ourselves whether there is any evidence to indicate that mild carbohydrate intolerance may be harmful. Although this is a controversial question, there is some evidence that this may be true.

Design, synthesis and in vitro evaluation of novel sulfonylurea and sulfonylthiourea as ectonucleotidases inhibitors

open access: yesResults in Chemistry
Herein, we describe the design, synthesis and biological evaluation of a series of novel non-nucleotide sulfonylurea and sulfonylthiourea based small molecule inhibitors of h-ENPP1, h-ENPP3 and e5′NT. Among the tested compounds, 3b inhibited h-ENPP1 with

Synthesis of sulfonylurea derivatives and their α-glucosidase inhibitory activity

open access: yesVietnam Journal of Science, Technology and Engineering, 2022
The paper describes the preparation of new sulfonylurea derivatives from sulfonyl carbamate 6 with amino derivatives. The process for synthesis of the key compound 6 included three steps starting from compound 6-chloronicotinic acid 1, which are readily

Cardiovascular Outcomes Comparison of Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 Inhibitors versus Sulfonylurea as Add-on Therapy for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: a Meta-Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Lipid and Atherosclerosis, 2021
Objective Recent studies have raised concern about the cardiovascular safety of dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP4) inhibitors. We performed a systematic review through meta-analysis to compare cardiovascular outcomes of sulfonylurea (SU) versus DPP4 ...
