Two solutions - multipulsations model of genesis of the silesian-cracovian Zn-Pb ore deposits

open access: yesRudarsko-geološko-naftni Zbornik, 1989
Silesian-Cracovian Zn-Pb ore deposits are hosted in Mesozoic cover and are located near main dislocations in the area between Upper Silesian Coal Basin and buried Caledonian mountains, A screen of Keuper clayely beds controls mixing of surficial waters ...

(NH4)2[Tc2O2(S2O7)4]: An Unexpected Technetium(V)‐Sulfate From the Reaction of (NH4)(TcO4) With SO3

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The reaction of the radioactive pertechnetate (99TcO4)− with the oxidizer SO3 leads to blue crystals of (NH4)2[Tc2O2(S2O7)4]. The complex dimeric [Tc2O2(S2O7)4]2− anion exhibits the technetium in the oxidation state V, showing that reduction occurs during the reaction.

Chemical Compositions of Evolved Stars From Near-Infrared IGRINS High-Resolution Spectra. I. Abundances in Three Red Horizontal Branch Stars

open access: yes, 2018
We have derived elemental abundances of three field red horizontal branch stars using high-resolution (R$\simeq$ 45,000), high signal-to-noise ratio (S/N $\gtrsim$ 200) $H$ and $K$ band spectra obtained with the Immersion Grating Infrared Spectrograph ...

Synthetic Strategies for Activity‐Based Probes to Decode Ubiquitin‐Like Modifiers

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Ubiquitin‐like proteins (Ubls) such as SUMO, NEDD8, ISG15, URM1, UFM1, FAT10, ATG8/ATG12, and FUBI are essential regulators of cellular homeostasis, controlling processes from protein stability and trafficking to immune signaling and autophagy.

Hydroquinone Oxidation by Redox‐active Guanidines and Thioguanidines: Faster Conversion to High‐Potential Than to Low‐Potential Quinones

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
New redox‐active oligothioguanidines are developed and used in dehydrogenative P–P coupling reactions and hydroquinone oxidations. Tetrathioguanidino‐ and tetraguanidinobenzenes oxidize high‐potential halogenated hydroquinones faster than relatively low‐potential hydroquinone.

Primary Sulfur Isotopes of Intraplate Basalts and Implications for Deep S Recycling of Altered Oceanic Crust

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
Altered oceanic crust (AOC) is the largest contributor to the subducted sulfur (S) budget and its recycling modulates the redox evolution and S distribution in the mantle. However, the role of AOC in the deep cycling of S remains poorly constrained. Here

Self‐Complementary Dimers Based on Zwitterionic Halogen Bond Donors

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
In this study we present the first isolated zwitterionic homodimers based on halogen bonding (XB). After optimization of the structures by changing the Lewis base (LB) and the backbone, their dimerization was observed in gas phase, as well as, in solid state.

Heteroatom‐Doped Graphdiynes and Their Applications in Photo‐/Electro‐Catalytic CO2 Conversion

open access: yesCarbon Innovation, EarlyView.
This review highlights the versatile role of doped graphdiyne (GDY) in boosting CO2 conversion, where metal and non‐metal doping simultaneously tune the electronic structure, create abundant active sites, and improve charge separation, light harvesting, and CO2 adsorption.
