NAT2 encodes arylamine N‐acetyltransferase 2, a key enzyme in the phase II metabolism of arylamines and arylhydrazines. NAT2 is highly polymorphic, resulting in variable distributions of rapid and poor metabolizers across global populations. Here, we detail the process undertaken by the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC) NAT2 ...

Derivatives of orthoacids. III. Sulphonamide derivatives
Ethyl orthoformate reacts with N-(2-hydroxyethy1)toluene-p-sulphonamide, and NN'-di(toluene-p-sulphonyl)ethylenediamine to form 2-ethoxy-N-(toluene-p-sulphonyl)oxazolidine, and 2-ethoxy-NN'-di(toluene-p-sulphonyl)imidazolidine respectively.

ABSTRACT Background Meropenem and piperacillin/tazobactam are commonly used empirical antibiotics in critically ill adults with sepsis, but whether one is superior to the other is uncertain. Methods The Empirical Meropenem versus Piperacillin/Tazobactam for Adult Patients with Sepsis (EMPRESS) trial is an ongoing investigator‐initiated, randomised ...

Recent Applications of Propylene Carbonate as a Solvent in Sustainable Organic Synthesis
This review evaluates propylene carbonate (PC) as a non‐toxic green solvent in organic synthesis, highlighting its performance in key reactions including cross‐couplings, asymmetric hydrogenations, peptide synthesis and biocatalysis. Across these processes, PC delivers yields comparable to conventional and alternative green solvents.
