Fuzzy logic supervisory control of a strongly disturbed batch process [PDF]
S.2566-2571The automation of complex industrial batch processes is a difficult problem due to the extremely nonlinear and variable system behavior or the conflicting goals within the different process phases.

Cancer progression is regulated by the dynamic matrix code of the tumor microenvironment, which influences cellular behavior and disease development. Importantly, matrix remodeling in three‐dimensional cancer models more accurately reflects in vivo conditions compared to conventional two‐dimensional systems.

Real-time plasma state monitoring and supervisory control on TCV [PDF]
In ITER and DEMO, various control objectives related to plasma control must be simultaneously achieved by the plasma control system (PCS), in both normal operation as well as off-normal conditions.

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

Supervisory control of multilevel discrete-event systems with a bus structure [PDF]
High-tech systems often contain a few components with many dependencies across the system, acting as system-level integrating components. In a hierarchical system decomposition, such so-called bus components tend to be placed in the top node.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
