S.507-511PMMA shows poor adhesion for evaporated inorganic coatings. The DC and microwave plasma treatments can considerably increase free surface energy but an improvement of coating adhesion is, according to our results, only possible by the DC process

Surface and Catalytic Properties of MoO-Treated CoO/AlO Solids
The surface and catalytic properties of Co 3 O 4 /Al 2 O 3 solids treated with different proportions of MoO 3 were investigated, the extent of MoO 3 added varying between 0.50 mol% and 5.00 mol% (0.63–5.9 wt%).

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Surface aspects of novel Bio-HEAs MAO-treated in a Ca-, P-, and Mg-rich electrolyte
This study evaluated the effect of alloying elements, applied voltage, and bioactive species (Ca, P, and Mg) enrichment during the micro-arc oxidation (MAO) treatment of novel high entropy alloys (HEAs) targeted for biomedical applications.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Surface Modification of Polymers Treated by Various Fluorinating Media
Fluorination processes of polymer surfaces are able to lead to drastic modifications of the surface properties without changing the bulk characteristics of the virgin material. In this paper, two types of polymers, i.e.

Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.
