Effect of Copper Azole Preservative on the Surface Wettability and Interlaminar Shear Performance of Glulam Treated with Preservative

open access: yesBioResources
The application of copper azole (CA) preservative on glulam can improve the durability of the material. The effect of CA preservative was evaluated relative to the surface bonding quality of laminates with different surface conditions.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Optimization of coagulant dosage for bio-treated coking wastewater by response surface method

open access: yesGongye shui chuli
Combined polyaluminum chloride(PAC)with polyacrylamide(PAM) coagulation was used to treat bio-treated coking wastewater. The influence of the dosage of PAC and PAM on the coagulation treatment effect was investigated through a single factor experiment ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Evaluation of surface modification processes using a ternary XPS diagram

open access: yes, 2002
The use of a ternary XPS diagram to follow surface modification processes involving three elements is described. The elemental composition is represented by a single data point on a plane instead of by two or three elemental ratios or percentages ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

On the correlation of surface charge and energy in non-thermal plasma-treated polyethylene

open access: yes, 2014
Non-thermal non-equilibrium oxidative air 40-kHz frequency, 13.56-MHz radiofrequency and 2.46-GHz microwave discharge plasma treatment were used for modifying low-density polyethylene foils. The untreated and treated samples were chemically characterised
