Cluster analysis of potential autonomous vehicle (AV) adopters in Indonesia’s new capital

open access: yesTransportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives
Indonesia’s major cities suffer from severe traffic congestion, leading to air pollution, wasted time, higher casualty rates, reduced productivity, respiratory issues, and contributions to global warming.

NON-MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION – AN EDUCATIONAL CHALLENGE FOR URBAN COMMUNITIES [PDF]

open access: yes
The continuous growth of the urban traffic threats cities with “thrombosis“, generating social, economic and ecological long term problems. The paper outlines the positive externalities induced by the non-motorized transportation (walking, bicycling or ...

Does MaaS contribute to sustainable transportation? A mode choice perspective

open access: yes, 2020
Mobility as a Service (MaaS) is an innovative concept, enabled by the ubiquitous availability of digital technologies. Many cities around the world envision MaaS as a way to improve sustainable transportation by reducing the use of fossil fuel-based ...

Roads toward environmentally sustainable transport [PDF]

open access: yesTransportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice, 1994
This paper explores roads toward environmentally sustainable transport, with particular emphasis on the bottlenecks preventing the achievement of policy objectives of reconciling the economic interests of the transport sector with environmental constraints.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Purchase subsidies for 100% zero-emissions vehicle sales goals: Effectiveness, government cost, and supplier capture

open access: yesTransportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives
Globally, purchase subsidies are among the most common policies used to support the deployment of zero-emissions vehicles (ZEVs). However, it is unclear if subsidies alone can effectively and efficiently achieve ambitious long-term ZEV sales goals, such ...
