VGG-MFO-orange for sweetness prediction of Linhai mandarin oranges

open access: yesScientific Reports
Mandarin orange is a popular fruit in China and known worldwide for its unique flavor and nutritional benefits. As consumer demand for fruit quality increases, the fine assessment and grading of fruit sweetness-especially through non-destructive testing techniques-are becoming increasingly important in agriculture and commerce.

Amyloidogenic Peptide Fragments Designed From Bacterial Collagen‐like Proteins Form Hydrogel

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study identified amyloidogenic sequence motifs in bacterial collagen‐like proteins and exploited these to design peptides that self‐assemble into β‐sheet fibers and form hydrogels. One hydrogel supported healthy fibroblast growth, showing promise for biocompatible materials. Our work demonstrates that bacterial sequences can be harnessed to create

Pengaruh Substitusi Tepung Terigu dengan Tepung Tempe dan Tepung Ubi Jalar Kuning terhadap Kadar Protein, Kadar β-Karoten, dan Mutu Organoleptik Roti Manis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Background: Increased of high protein and β-carotene food consumption is expected may prevent PEM and VAD. Tempeh is a high-protein food stuff, while orange-fleshed sweet potato had high β-carotene content.

How the Carrier Mobility and Seebeck Coefficient of Doped Semiconducting Polymers Are Controlled by Counterion Interactions and Mesoscale Order

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Conventional doping of P3HT with F4TCNQ results in poor charge transport. However, when F4TCNQ is exchanged with LiTFSI, the transport characteristics are greatly enhanced. We find the increase in charge transport is directly related to an increase in the mesoscale ordering of P3HT, resulting in longer and better‐connected transport pathways.

Pengaruh Substitusi Tepung Ubi Jalar Oranye (Ipomoea Batatas L.) Terhadap Kadar Betakarote [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Introduction: Deficiency of vitamin A is one of the main nutritional problem in Indonesia. Vegetable foodstuffs which contain provitamin A is the orange-fleshed sweet potato. Substitusion can help improve the nutritional value, including betacarotene.

Spiro‑Linked Double Tetraphenylethenes: Solid‐State Emission and Circularly Polarized Luminescence Imaging

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Two spirobisanthracene‐tetraphenylethene (SBA‐TPE) hybrid compounds are synthesized and their photophysical properties in the solid state reported. Circularly polarized luminescence in aggregates, films and dispersions is evaluated. Circularly polarized luminescence imaging is evaluated over crystals revealing discrimination of different types of ...

Standardization of time of budding and sweet orange cultivars on Carrizo rootstock

open access: yesNotulae Scientia Biologicae, 2021
In sexual propagation of citrus long juvenility, genetic impurity and self incompatibility are the major problems. Hence the use of suitable rootstock is a pre-requisite in citrus propagation.
