Control system of switched reluctance generator
2017 IEEE Conference of Russian Young Researchers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EIConRus), 2017In this paper, a three-phase 12/8 switched reluctance generator is taken as the study object and a control system based on that generator is designed. In that system, the digital signal controller applied for is dsPIC30F6010, and power converter circuit adopt asymmetric half-bridge topology, and the main switches use power MOSFET.

Self-excited switched reluctance generator
XI Brazilian Power Electronics Conference, 2011This paper presents a study on the behavior of the self-excited switched reluctance generator (SSRG). Following an extensive bibliographic review about SSRGs, the mathematical model, principle of operation and simulation results of the generator dynamics is presented. A capacitor partially charged, in parallel with the load is used as a mean to provide

Two-channel switched reluctance starter/generator results
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1998Measured data and simulation results for a two channel experimental switched reluctance motor (SRM) based aircraft engine starter/generator system is presented. The two channels of the system provide power to two separate and independent loads. The results presented here document the performance capability of this system from load step response to ...

Compensation power generation for linear switched reluctance generators
2016 International Symposium on Electrical Engineering (ISEE), 2016Since the wave energy power generation has a low voltage output and poor stability in low speed, the scheme of a compensation power generation scheme of two bilateral asymmetric linear switched reluctance generators (BALSRG) is proposed. The mathematic model of the BALSRG is derived and machine characteristics are investigated.

Electromagnetic design of switched reluctance generator
The Fifth International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems, 2003. PEDS 2003., 2004The electromagnetic design method and the procedure of the switched reluctance generator system are presented by taking a three-phase 12/8 structure switched reluctance generator system for example. The output equation relating to the relationship between the structure parameters and the electric/magnetic loads is derived.

Switched reluctance generator controls for optimal power generation and battery charging
2011 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition, 2011This paper presents a control strategy for varying the turn-on and turn-off angles of three-phase switched reluctance generators (SRGs) to maximize the efficiency as well as to reduce the dc-link ripple current resulting from the commutation of phase currents at high speeds.

Measurement of heat transfer in a switched reluctance generator
7th AIAA/ASME Joint Thermophysics and Heat Transfer Conference, 1998INTRODUCTION This paper presents an analytical and experimental investigation of the convective heat transfer between a cylinder rotating at high speed within a stationary outer cylinder with a small clearance gap. The investigation is the basis of a larger study to determine the convective film coefficients on the unique faces of a four-pole high ...

Optimal efficiency control of switched reluctance generators
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2006This paper investigates the problem of optimal control for accomplishing maximum energy conversion in switched reluctance generators. A controller that determines the optimal turn-on and turn-off angles in the mode of single-pulse operation is proposed.

Linearization for Output Voltage Control of Switched Reluctance Generator
IEEE Transactions on Industrial ElectronicsThe switched reluctance generator (SRG) has intrinsic spatial and magnetic nonlinearities, making it challenging to design an output voltage controller with accurate tracking performance. This article proposes a linearization technique to improve the voltage control of SRG.
