Comparison of boost and LLC converter and active clamp isolated full-bridge boost converter for photovoltaic DC system

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
DC collection network offers an attractive alternative to AC network for photovoltaic, as it avoids the charging current issues and reduces the size and weight. Variable voltage gain DC/DC converters play an important role in DC collection network.

Scorpion DAC: a new family of switched-capacitor D/A convertors

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1986
The theory of the simulated capacitor or resistor array parasitic-insensitive/offset-nulling (SCORPION) digital to analogue convenor (DAC) is presented. This unique DAC architecture features high speed, high modularity, reduced 1/f noise and excellent economy. The properties of this DAC allow modular development of n-bit DACs in MOS.

Quantum dynamics and statistics of two coupled down-conversion processes

open access: yes, 2000
In the framework of Heisenberg-Langevin theory the dynamical and statistical effects arising from the linear interaction of two nondegenerate down-conversion processes are investigated.

Correlation of the differential expression of PIK3R1 and its spliced variant, p55α, in pan‐cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PIK3R1 undergoes alternative splicing to generate the isoforms, p85α and p55α. By combining large patient datasets with laboratory experiments, we show that PIK3R1 spliced variants shape cancer behavior. While tumors lose the protective p85α isoform, p55α is overexpressed, changes linked to poorer survival and more pronounced in African American ...

Mitigation of Common mode Noise for PFC Boost Convertor by Balancing Technique [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The PFC Boost Converter is an integral part of modern power supplies to improve power factor in electronic devices. The inherent problem associated with it is common mode (CM) Electromagnetic interference (EMI) noise arising due to the higher switching ...

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Design and comparative evaluation of converter topologies for six-phase switched reluctance motor drives

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
This paper presents a novel converter topology for six-phase switched reluctance motor (SRM) drives, which reduces the number of switches and diodes by half, compared with the conventional asymmetric half-bridge (AHB) converter, and needs no additional ...

Dietary nitrate and nitrite protect against doxorubicin‐induced cardiac fibrosis and oxidative protein damage in tumor‐bearing mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemotherapies such as doxorubicin can have toxic effects on healthy cardiovascular/heart tissue. Following up on a doxorubicin toxicity study in mice without tumors where nitrate water was cardioprotective (lessened toxicity), this study with tumor‐bearing mice undergoing doxorubicin treatment showed no negative effect of nitrate and nitrite on drug ...
