Amplification effects of the send rate of TCP connection through an optical burst switching network
This paper investigates support for TCP RENO flows in an Optical Burst Switching (OBS) network. In particular we evaluate the TCP send-rate, i.e., the amount of data sent per time unit taking into account the burst assembly mechanism at the edge nodes of

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Dynamical switching of an electromagnetically driven compliant bistable mechanism
Dynamical switching behaviors of a compliant bistable mechanism driven by electromagnetic force are investigated. The bistability of the mechanism originates from combined tension and bending of the beam structures.

Possible Factor Xa Resistance in a Patient Who Failed Apixaban and Rivaroxaban
This article aims to discuss the literature on switching to an anticoagulant with a different mechanism of action in case of treatment failure. We present a patient with atrial fibrillation who incurred an embolic stroke despite adequate anticoagulation ...

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Solid state optical conjugated polymer amplifier; with ultrafast gain switching
Conjugated polymers are organic materials which are attractive as optoelectronic devices because they have a combination of broad band emission, high gain, versatility in processing, are ductile and can be electrically pumped.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Sub-nanosecond polarization switching with anomalous kinetics in vdW ferroelectric WTe2
Recently discovered “sliding ferroelectrics” exhibit distinct polarization origin and switching mechanism compared to conventional ferroelectric materials. However, a clear understanding of the polarization switching kinetics remains lacking.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.
