Transplantation of GABAergic Interneuron Progenitors Restores Cortical Circuit Function in an Alzheimer's Disease Mouse Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Transplantation of medial ganglionic eminence (MGE) interneuron progenitors into APP/PS1 cortices restored the slow oscillation characteristic of Alzheimer's disease. Donor cells survived, migrated, and matured into functional GABAergic interneurons, forming synaptic connections.

Parabiosis, Assembloids, Organoids (PAO)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review evaluates parabiosis, organoids, and assembloids as complementary disease models spanning systemic, organ, and multi‐organ levels. It highlights their construction strategies, applications, and current limitations, while emphasizing their integration with frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence, organ‐on‐a‐chip, CRISPR, and ...

Controllable Charge Storability in InP/ZnSe Core/Shell Quantum Dots toward Bioinspired Optical Synaptic Application

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A field‐effect transistor incorporating type‐I InP/ZnSe core–shell quantum dots demonstrates light‐ and gate‐tunable synaptic plasticity. By leveraging field‐assisted photoinduced charge trapping, the device emulates essential neuromorphic functions, including paired‐pulse facilitation, memory consolidation, and classical conditioning.
