IDENTIFICATION OF DISEASE GENES FOR RARE AUTOSOMAL RECESSIVE EPILEPTIC SYNDROMES BY HOMOZYGOSITY MAPPING [PDF]
Introduction: The genetics of the most common neurological disorders, including epilepsy, with mendelian inheritance has been dissected in the last twenty years. However the genetic etiology of some rare epileptic conditions is still unknown.

As little as 1–10% of the population is needed to be resistant for demethylation inhibitor fungicides to be rendered ineffective. Following a single round of selection, the frequency increases by more than 15% with limited fitness penalty detected when no selection is present.

This study aimed to investigate azole resistance mechanisms in Aspergillus flavus, which involve cyp51A and cyp51B genes. Real-time Reverse Transcriptase qPCR method was applied to determine the overexpression of cyp51A and cyp51B genes for 34 A.

The study has identified mutations in the voltage gated sodium channel of the English grain aphid (Sitobion avenae) at M918 and L932, which have not been previously reported in this species. Abstract BACKGROUND The grain aphid, Sitobion avenae Fabricius (Hemiptera: Aphididae), is a vector of yellow dwarf viruses and an important pest of cereals.

Impact of synonymous mutations in the blaTEM-3 gene on gene expression and Escherichia coli fitness
Synonymous mutations (SMs) have a significant effect on the expression of the β-lactamase TEM-3 and the resistance phenotype conferred. Cell-free transcription did not reproduce this effect.

SDHI resistance is reported and characterised for the first time in the oilseed rape phoma stem canker pathogen Plenodomus biglobosus (Leptosphaeria biglobosa). We investigate cross‐resistance patterns, associated SDH target‐site mutations, possible fitness costs, and consider the implications for disease and resistance management.

Here, we report for the first time a target site mutation in the CYP51 gene of the oilseed rape phoma stem canker fungus Plenodomus biglobosus (Leptosphaeria biglobosa) that is associated with decreased sensitivity to sterol demethylation inhibitor fungicides.

Formation of Distance‐Based Orientation: Political Identity through Relational Positioning in Israel
Distance‐based orientation describes how pejorative labels may serve as anchor points for political identity. Existing research on political labeling has largely emphasized stigmatization, overlooking how labels may acquire durability and orienting capacity without losing pejorative force. Drawing on publicly circulating discourse, we trace positioning
