A comparison of discrete event simulation and system dynamics for modelling health care systems
In this paper we discuss two different approaches to simulation, discrete event simulation and system dynamics. Both have been used widely in the health care domain, although there are fewer applications of system dynamics.

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.
