The Nasal–Brain Drug Delivery Route: Mechanisms and Applications to Central Nervous System Diseases
Τhe BBB restricts CNS drug delivery. NBDD bypasses the BBB via olfactory/trigeminal routes, enabling CNS delivery of therapeutic (small molecules, biologics, nucleic acids) for neurodegenerative/psychiatric disorders and brain tumors using advanced NBDD delivery systems (e.g nanocarriers) to enhance targeting and bioavailability.

Low‐intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU)‐responsive nanobubbles (PAF@M) specifically target thrombus sites and penetrate thrombi under LIFU stimulation. Meanwhile, the liquid–gas phase transition of perfluoropentane and the release of nitric oxide synergistically enhance ultrasonic cavitation to destroy thrombus structure, providing a safe and effective

ABSTRACT Genetic features of host adaptation of S. aureus to ruminants have been extensively studied, but the extent to which this adaptation occurs in nature remains unknown. In New Zealand, clonal complex 1 (CC1) is among the most common lineages in humans and the dominant lineage in cattle, enabling between‐, and within‐CC genomic comparisons of ...

Engineered pulmonary artery tissues for measuring contractility, drug testing and disease modelling
Abstract Background and Purpose Vasoreactivity of pulmonary arteries regulates blood flow through the lungs. Excessive constriction of these vessels contributes to pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), a progressive and incurable condition, resulting in right heart failure.

Background and Purpose Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a fatal disease characterized by fibroblast activation and abnormal accumulation of extracellular matrix in the lungs. We previously demonstrated the importance of the heat shock protein αB‐crystallin (HSPB5) in TGF‐β1 profibrotic signalling, which suggests that HSPB5 could be a new ...
