Enhanced Precision in the Convergent Procedure for Persistent Atrial Fibrillation Using Real‐Time Intraoperative 3D Electrophysiological Mapping

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 8, August 2025.
3D electrophysiological mapping of the posterior left atrial wall demonstrated effective silencing following ablations. ABSTRACT Real‐time intraoperative electrophysiological mapping significantly enhances the precision and efficiency of ablations in epicardial ablation (Convergent procedure) for persistent atrial fibrillation.

Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor‐Related Dysautonomia in Merkel Cell Carcinoma: A Case Report

open access: yesCancer Reports, Volume 8, Issue 7, July 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) are monoclonal antibodies that block inhibitory pathways that cancer cells exploit to suppress T‐cell activation. Although immune‐related adverse events (irAEs) linked to ICI therapy are well documented and encompass dermatologic, endocrine, gastrointestinal, hepatic, and neurologic systems, ICI ...

Chemoenzymatic synthesis of Tamsulosin

open access: yesOrganic & Biomolecular Chemistry
(R)-Tamsulosin was stereoselectively synthesized via three different chemoenzymatic strategies. Alcohol dehydrogenases and transaminases were used to produce enantiopure alcohol and amine precursors, obtaining the desired drug in good overall yield.

In Situ Gels for Nasal Delivery: Formulation, Characterization and Applications

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 310, Issue 6, June 2025.
Drug delivery through the nasal route offers many advantages, but is hampered by a number of challenges, such as the short drug retention time caused by mucociliary clearance. In situ forming gels, which undergo a sol‐to‐gel transition with specific triggers at the site of action, present real opportunities in this field.
