A Novel 9‐Channel 1H, 3‐Channel 31P Radiofrequency Coil for Interleaved Multinuclear Studies of Human Calf Muscle at 7 T

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 5, Page 3008-3020, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop a double‐tuned calf coil with excellent 1H and 31P performance to study muscle physiology by interleaved 1H/31P MRS and parallel imaging at 7 T. Methods The coil combines three 1H transceive dipoles, six 1H receive‐only loops and three 31P transceive loops, arranged in a nested, half‐cylindrical layout.

Inter‐Individual Differences in T1, T2, and Proton Density Using Quantitative Synthetic Imaging for 1H‐MRS Quantification

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 5, Page 2489-2499, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose Metabolite concentrations can be determined from proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H‐MRS) data using water as an internal reference. This calculation requires tissue‐specific water T1 and T2 relaxation constants and proton density (PD).

Association of Milk C‐Reactive Protein With Subclinical Mastitis in Dairy Buffaloes

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 3, May 2026.
Milk C‐reactive protein (CRP) concentrations were significantly increased in subclinical mastitis‐positive mammary lobe samples from dairy buffaloes and were consistent with somatic cell count and bacteriological findings, indicating that milk CRP reflects mammary inflammatory activity.

Aged Gut Microbiota Induces Mucosal Transcriptional Dysregulation, Impairing Immune Surveillance

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 5, May 2026.
Aging impaired intestinal mucosal immune homeostasis by altering the epithelial barrier, lamina propria immune cells, follicle‐associated epithelium, and gut microbiota. These changes, particularly the accumulation of pro‐inflammatory bacteria in the gut microbiota, are closely associated with dysregulation of follicle‐associated epithelium gene ...

Preoperative Beta‐Hydroxy‐Beta‐Methyl‐Butyrate Supplementation Reduces Mitochondrial Dynamics Proteins and Preserves Hepatic Mitochondrial Function After Partial Hepatectomy in Mice

open access: yesActa Physiologica, Volume 242, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim The liver exhibits a remarkable regenerative capacity, enabling this organ to maintain homeostasis even after significant injury. However, hepatic regeneration requires sufficient energy to sustain cellular hypertrophy and proliferation, thus ensuring efficient tissue repair.
