This thesis presents an investigation into the transcriptional regulation of TaxolTM biosynthsis in Taxus cuspidata cell suspension cultures. The potent anticancer drug TaxolTM has been shown to be successful in the treatment of breast, lung and ovarian cancer and the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) related Kaposi’s sarcoma.
