Correction Mark in the Teaching of Turkish as a Foreign Language
Increasing demand for Turkish language learning in our country and around the world has led to the production of course materials in this field. But when the materials that teach Turkish to foreigners are scanned, it seems that the standard way in teaching is not followed, and some important issues are not focused.

This study aims at specifying cultural words in teaching Turkish as a foreign language according to their proficiency levels (A1/2, B1/2, and C1/2) and analyzing the difference between the proficiency levels of these cultural words in terms of their frequency.

Abstract This article examines the poll tax (Ottoman Turkish cizye; Arabic jizya) levied on non‐Muslim subjects of the Ottoman Empire, not as a fixed, one‐dimensional tax item within the Ottoman fiscal system but as a multi‐layered administrative instrument organized around obligation, exemption and remission.
