G4‐binding proteins (G4BPs) that specifically co‐bind G4s in the presence of small‐molecule ligands represent a critical but unexplored class of proteins. We introduce G4‐Ligand‐Directed PROTACs (G4L‐TACs), a chemical platform that couples G4 ligands (PDS) to E3 recruiters to selectively degrade these ligand‐co‐binding G4BPs.

Testing three hypotheses about effects of sensitive-insensitive parenting on telomeres. [PDF]
Telomeres are the protective DNA-protein sequences appearing at the ends of chromosomes; they shorten with each cell division and are considered a biomarker of aging.

AI Powered Biobanks From Static Archives to Dynamic Discovery Engines
Large language models (LLMs) provide a potential framework for transforming biobanks from static data repositories into intelligent discovery engines. By enabling unified representation and analysis of multimodal biomedical data, LLM‐based systems facilitate dynamic risk prediction, biomarker identification, and mechanistic interpretation, thereby ...

The effect on melanoma risk of genes previously associated with telomere length. [PDF]
Telomere length has been associated with risk of many cancers, but results are inconsistent. Seven single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) previously associated with mean leukocyte telomere length were either genotyped or well-imputed in 11108 case ...

We report a biodegradable electrolyte‐gated synaptic phototransistor that combines low‐power UV sensing with memory functionality, offering a sustainable platform for AI vision systems and health‐monitoring technologies. Presented here is a biodegradable, bioinspired synaptic phototransistor (SPT) based on an electrolyte‐gated field‐effect transistor ...

Correlation between telomere shortening in maternal peripheral blood and fetal aneuploidy
Background This study aimed to assess whether maternal telomere length is a more accurate predictor of trisomy 21 than maternal age while also exploring the factors influencing maternal and fetal telomere length.

Telomere Length Correlates with Life Span of Dog Breeds
Telomeric DNA repeats are lost as normal somatic cells replicate. When telomeres reach a critically short length, a DNA damage signal is initiated, inducing cell senescence.

The Effect of Physical Activity agains the Telomere Length in the Leukocytes Cells of KONI Athletes
Telomeres are strands of non coding DNA at the ends of chromosomes that have the primary function to protect DNA from damage and maintain chromosomal stability.

Telomere length reveals cumulative individual and transgenerational inbreeding effects in a passerine bird [PDF]
Inbreeding results in more homozygous offspring that should suffer reduced fitness, but it can be difficult to quantify these costs for several reasons. First, inbreeding depression may vary with ecological or physiological stress and only be detectable ...

Woody breast compromises meat quality leading to reduced consumer appeal. Although its causes are unclear, improvements observed with certain dietary supplements suggest that gut health may influence woody breast development. Ribonucleotide reductase subunit RRM2 is vital for mitochondrial function and gastrointestinal integrity, and alteration in its ...
