Estimation of complete temperature fields from measured transient temperatures
In hyperthermia treatments, it is desirable to be able to predict complete tissue temperature fields from the limited number of sampled temperatures available. Because of the unknown tissue blood perfusion this is a particularly difficult problem, whose eventual solution will require a considerable effort. An initial attempt to develop methods to solve

Global variability of mesospheric temperature: Mean temperature field [PDF]
Daytime zonally (longitudinally) averaged temperatures from the Wind Imaging Interferometer (WINDII) on the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS) and nightly temperatures from various ground‐based hydroxyl airglow observations are employed in the study of the global and seasonal variability of the upper mesospheric temperature field.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Superconducting trapped-field magnets: Temperature and field distributions during pulsed-field activation [PDF]
We calculate the temperature and magnetic field distributions in a bulk superconductor during the process of pulsed-field magnetic activation. The calculations are based on the heat diffusion equation with account of the heat produced by flux motion, and the critical state model with temperature dependent critical current density.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Reduction of the field spectrum linewidth of a multiple quantum well laser in a high magnetic field—spectral properties of quantum dot lasers [PDF]
The field spectrum linewidth of a multiple quantum well laser immersed in a high magnetic field is measured at room temperature and at 165 K. The low-temperature measurements show a decrease of linewidth with increasing magnetic field.

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These
