Stability of 1+1 dimensional causal relativistic viscous hydrodynamics

open access: yes, 2010
The stability of the 1+1 dimensional solution of Israel-Stewart theory is investigated. Firstly, the evolution of the temperature and the ratio of the bulk pressure over the equilibrium pressure of the background is explored.

High Temperature Stability of Yttria Stabilized Zirconia

open access: yesNetsu Bussei, 2007

Thermal Stability of Metallic Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes: An O(N) Tight-Binding Molecular Dynamics Simulation Study

open access: yes, 2007
Order(N) Tight-Binding Molecular Dynamics (TBMD) simulations are performed to investigate the thermal stability of (10,10) metallic Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (SWCNT). Periodic boundary conditions (PBC) are applied in axial direction. Velocity Verlet

Dynamics and stability of vortex-antivortex fronts in type II superconductors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The dynamics of vortices in type II superconductors exhibit a variety of patterns whose origin is poorly understood. This is partly due to the nonlinearity of the vortex mobility which gives rise to singular behavior in the vortex densities.

Evaluation of hot mix asphalt(HMA) properties compacted at various temperatures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Hot mix asphalt (HMA) mixture compacted at various temperature has always been a concern to researcher. Compaction below the standard compaction temperature may bring reverse effect on HMA properties.

Absolute and convective instabilities in an inviscid compressible mixing layer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We consider the stability of a compressible shear flow separating two streams of different speeds and temperatures. The velocity and temperature profiles in this mixing layer are hyperbolic tangents.

Temperature Fluctuation Attenuation of Circulating Cooling Water Using Dynamic Thermal Filtering

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
The Demand for circulating cooling water (CCW) with high temperature stability and a quick response to temperature control is essential for precision engineering, so a dynamic thermal filtering method is proposed in this paper.

High temperature shockwave stabilized single atoms

open access: yesNature Nanotechnology, 2019
The stability of single-atom catalysts is critical for their practical applications. Although a high temperature can promote the bond formation between metal atoms and the substrate with an enhanced stability, it often causes atom agglomeration and is incompatible with many temperature-sensitive substrates.
