Ternary complexes of xanthosine in solution
Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1979Abstract Stability constants, of the mixed ligand complexes (1:1:1) containing metal-xanthosine (1:1) [M = Cu(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), Co(II), Mn(II), Mg(II), and Ca(II)] complexes and secondary ligands. N,N-tetramethylethylenediamine (TMEN), α,α′-bipyridyl (bipy), 1-10-phenanthroline (O-Phen) and 5 sulfosalicylic acid (SSA) or metal-xanthosine in a 1:2 ...

Stepwise Reconstruction of a Ternary Complex in Protein Synthesis
Nature, 1968Reconstruction of 70S particles from 30S and 50S ribosomes requires both messenger RNA and peptidyl-tRNA. Experiments with poly A and oligolysyl-tRNA show that assembly proceeds through a labile 30S-poly A-polylysyl-tRNA complex which is stabilized by addition of 50S particles.

Quantifying the Energetics of Cooperativity in a Ternary Protein Complex
Biochemistry, 2002The formation of complexes involving more than two proteins is critical for many cellular processes, including signal transduction, transcriptional control, and cytoskeleton remodeling. Energetically, these interactions cannot always be described simply by the additive effects of the individual binary reactions that make up the overall complex. This is

Calibrating the complexity of ternary propositional connectives
2010Summary: For each ternary propositional connective, we determine the minimum number of binary connectives needed to construct a logically equivalent formula. In order to reduce this problem to a computably feasible one, we prove a number of lemmas showing that every element of a large set of formulas is logically equivalent to a formula in a much ...

Potentiometric studies of binary and ternary complexes of amoxycillin
Talanta, 1992The formation equilibria for the binary complexes of copper(II), nickel(II), cobalt(II) and zinc(II) with amoxycillin (Amx) and for the ternary complexes M(Arm)(Amx), where Arm refers to aromatic amines, namely 2,2'-dipyridyl or 1,10-phenanthroline, were investigated by a potentiometric technique.

Ternary complex of DNA with chymotrypsinogen A and acridine orange
Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1972Abstract Acridine orange was able to interact with the DNA of the soluble chymotrypsinogen-DNA complex to form a ternary complex. Nevertheless, chymotrypsinogen (which by itself did not interact with acridine orange) had an apparent inhibitory effect on binding of the dye to DNA.
