Terpenoid-Induced Feeding Deterrence and Antennal Response of Honey Bees [PDF]
Multiple interacting stressors negatively affect the survival and productivity of managed honey bee colonies. Pesticides remain a primary concern for beekeepers, as even sublethal exposures can reduce bee immunocompetence, impair navigation, and reduce ...

Antimycobacterial Plant Terpenoids [PDF]
Abstract. Tuberculosis (TB), mainly caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, is the leading killer among all infectious diseases worldwide and is responsible for more than two million deaths annually. For over thirty years no antitubercular agents with new mechanisms of action have been developed.

ABSTRACT Ag–Fe bimetallic nanoparticles (alloy and core–shell structures) were synthesized using Grewia optiva leaf extract through a green, phytochemical‐mediated approach. The effects of pH, temperature, extract concentration, and Ag:Fe molar ratio on nanoparticle formation were systematically optimized, enabling size‐controlled and morphologically ...

ABSTRACT Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions have emerged as one of the most critical drivers of climate change; this is primarily due to high concentrations and long atmospheric life of carbon dioxide (CO2). For a significant amount of time, various biological processes such as microalgal cultivation, cyanobacterial systems, photosynthetic microorganisms ...

ABSTRACT Silver‐doped cerium oxide nanoparticles (Ag/CeO2 NPs) were synthesized using Ricinus communis seed extract as a bio‐derived fuel in a solution combustion method. The combustion reaction, carried out at 450°C with AgNO3 and (NH4)2[Ce (NO3)6] as metal precursors, produced CeO2 and Ag/CeO2 NPs.

Terpene production in the peel of sweet orange fruits
Terpenoids constitute the largest and most diverse class of natural products. They are important factors for aroma and flavor, and their synthesis is basically done from two compounds: isopentenyl diphosphate and dimethylallyl diphosphate.
