One Dimensional Metal Oxide Semiconductor Nanotransistors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review assesses one dimensional metal oxide NW‐FETs as promising alternatives to conventional transistors. It explores how advances in architecture, material composition, and fabrication processes expand device capabilities. Emphasis is placed on novel gate configurations, different metal oxide nanowires, and post‐treatment methods, which ...

Advancing Clinical Medicine with Raman Spectroscopy: Current Trends and Future Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
Raman spectroscopy and microscopy may become excellent tools in clinical medicine, including hematology, oncology, infectious diseases, neurology, gastroenterology, reproductive medicine, rheumatology, and cardiovascular research. However, many challenges such as signal interference, standardization issues, and limited clinical application need to be ...

Triorchidism: presenting as undescended testis in a case of indirect inguinal hernia

open access: yesClinics and Practice, 2016
Triorchidism is the commonest variety of polyorchidism, an entity with more than two testis is an extremely rare congenital anomaly of the testis. Although excision of the abnormal testis is a safer alternative proposed, recent literature suggests more ...

Comprehensive functional characterization of cancer–testis antigens defines obligate participation in multiple hallmarks of cancer

open access: yesNature Communications, 2015
Tumours frequently activate genes whose expression is otherwise biased to the testis, collectively known as cancer–testis antigens (CTAs). The extent to which CTA expression represents epiphenomena or confers tumorigenic traits is unknown. In this study,

RAD21L1 Is Sufficient and Effective for Reprogramming Human Sertoli Cells to Phenotypic Spermatogonial Stem Cells Through DNA Methylation and Essential for Male Fertility

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RAD21L1 is upregulated in human Sertoli cells to be transited to become spermatogonial stem cells by overexpressing DAZ family three genes. RAD21L1 is sufficient and effective for reprogramming Sertoli cells into human spermatogonial stem cells with high safety through DNA methylation.

Deregulation of sertoli and leydig cells function in patients with klinefelter syndrome as evidenced by testis transcriptome analysis

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2015
BackgroundKlinefelter Syndrome (KS) is the most common abnormality of sex chromosomes (47,XXY) and represents the first genetic cause of male infertility.

RELA Ablation Contributes to Progression of Hepatocellular Carcinoma with TP53R249S Mutation and is a Potential Therapeutic Target

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Genome‐wide CRISPR/Cas9 based screening identified RELA as a key tumor suppressor in TP53R249S‐mutant HCC. Its loss promotes tumorigenesis and metastasis via DVL1‐mediated Wnt/β‐catenin activation, while its agonist betulinic acid suppresses tumor progression.

Myotube migration to cover and shape the testis of Drosophila depends on Heartless, Cadherin/Catenin, and myosin II

open access: yesBiology Open, 2017
During Drosophila metamorphosis, nascent testis myotubes migrate from the prospective seminal vesicle of the genital disc onto pupal testes and then further to cover the testes with multinucleated smooth-like muscles.

Microfilament‐Myosin II Regulates the Differentiation of Multinucleated Cysts into Oocytes and Influences Oocyte Developmental Potential in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we provided new evidence identifying multinucleated cysts as precursors for oocyte differentiation. Within these cysts, organelles migrate and aggregate to form Balbiani body (B‐body) and establish early cellular polarity. Concurrently, excess nuclei are expelled, enabling cyst‐to‐oocyte differentiation. The microfilament‐myosin II plays

Lymphoma of the testis [PDF]

open access: yesCancer, 1970
The prognosis for lymphoma clinically localized to the testis at the time of original diagnosis is relatively favorable after orchiectomy and radiation therapy to the regional lymph nodes the previously held belief that life expectancy is poor for men with testicular lymphoma was due to failure in most reports to separate survival of those with ...
