A dilogarithmic 3-dimensional Ising tetrahedron

open access: yes, 1998
In 3 dimensions, the Ising model is in the same universality class as $\phi^4$-theory, whose massive 3-loop tetrahedral diagram, $C^{Tet}$, was of an unknown analytical nature.

Dual Targeting of Mutant p53 and SNRPD2 via Engineered Exosomes Modulates Alternative Splicing to Suppress Ovarian Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mutant p53 drives oncogenic splicing to promote the progression of ovarian cancer by partnering with the spliceosome factor SNRPD2. Therefore, it is engineered iRGD‐exosomes to co‐deliver siRNAs against both targets. This approach restored tumor‐suppressive mRNA isoforms, effectively enhanced sensitivity to cisplatin, and ultimately blocked tumor ...

Targeting Lactate and Lactylation in Cancer Metabolism and Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lactate, once deemed a metabolic waste, emerges as a central regulator of cancer progression. This review elucidates how lactate and its epigenetic derivative, protein lactylation, orchestrate tumor metabolism, immune suppression, and therapeutic resistance.

Engineering Compact Base Editors by AlphaFold‐Guided Mutation Scan and Escherichia coli‐Based Tri‐Selection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A miniaturized deaminase SsdAtox was scanned with AlphaFold to identify DNA binding pocket hot spots. Site‐saturation mutagenesis at gatekeeper residue K31 yielded ten‐fold activity enhancement. Trinity Screen, an E. coli‐based three‐in‐one platform selecting for high activity and reduced double‐strand breaks, enabled combinatorial evolution at DNA ...

Simulated Winter Incubation of Soil With Swine Manure Differentially Affects Multiple Antimicrobial Resistance Elements

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2020
Gastrointestinal bacteria that harbor antibiotic resistance genes (ARG) become enriched with antibiotic use. Livestock manure application to cropland for soil fertility presents a concern that ARG and bacteria may proliferate and be transported in the ...

Tn10 tetoperator mutations affecting Tet repressor recognition

open access: yesNucleic Acids Research, 1986
The effect of single base pair alterations of the Tn10 encoded tet operator on recognition of Tet repressor was studied in vivo using a repressor titration system and in vitro by dissociation rate determinations of the respective complexes. Both methods reveal that the two operators, O1 and O2, which are in a tandem arrangement in the wild type, are ...

Targeting PRKCN, an Essential Driver Orchestrating mTOR‐IRF4 Axis Independently of Kinase Activity, in Multiple Myeloma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Constitutive PRKCN expression is driven by super‐enhancers and modulated by NF‐κB signaling in multiple myeloma (MM). PRKCN activates mTORC1/2‐IRF4 signaling axis and favors tumor cell growth independently of its kinase activity. IRF4 reciprocally promotes PRKCN transcription, creating a feed‐forward loop.

Active Shell Engineering for Efficient Cascade Triplet Energy Transfer in Lanthanide Heterostructures

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Active shell engineering resolves the trade‐off between surface passivation and molecular sensitization in lanthanide nanoparticles. NaYbF4@Ca0.8F2:Nd0.2@ACA heterostructures transform inert shells into energy conduits, enabling cascade triplet transfer with near‐unity efficiency.

Genetic diversity and characteristics of high-level tigecycline resistance Tet(X) in Acinetobacter species

open access: yesGenome Medicine, 2020
Background The recent emergence and dissemination of high-level mobile tigecycline resistance Tet(X) challenge the clinical effectiveness of tigecycline, one of the last-resort therapeutic options for complicated infections caused by multidrug-resistant ...
