Tetracaine hydrochloride induces cell cycle arrest in melanoma by downregulating hnRNPA1

Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology, 2022
Recent evidence suggests potential benefits of applying local anesthetics in cancer patients. Specifically, tetracaine has a potent antitumor effect in diverse cancers, including neuroblastoma, breast cancer, and melanoma; however, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear.

Transdermal permeation of tetracaine hydrochloride by lecithin microemulsion: In vivo

Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, 2006
In vivo transdermal permeation of tetracaine hydrochloride encapsulated in lecithin water-in-oil and oil-in-water microemulsion was studied. The effect of the composition of the lecithin microemulsion on analgesic response of tetracaine hydrochloride was evaluated on Wistar rats by tail flick method.

Non-equilibrium determination of metoclopramide and tetracaine hydrochloride by sequential injection spectrophotometry

Talanta, 2005
A new sequential injection spectrophotometric method was proposed for the determination of metoclopramide and tetracaine hydrochloride. The method was based on the detection of an unstable red intermediate compound resulting from the reaction of metoclopramide or tetracaine hydrochloride with potassium dichromate, in the presence of sodium oxalate, in ...

Formation of micelles and membrane action of the local anesthetic tetracaine hydrochloride

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Biomembranes, 1980
The formation of micelles of the local anesthetic tetracaine hydrochloride in aqueous phosphate buffer solution of pH 6.5 and ionic strength (I) 0.10 was examined at 22 degrees C by surface tension and using the fluorescent indicators perylene (peri-dinaphthalene) and 8-anilino-1-naphthalene sulfonic acid, sodium salt (ANS).

The Spectrophotometric Determination of Tetracaine and Phenylephrine Hydrochloride

Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association (Scientific ed.), 1952
A method is presented for the quantitative determination of tetracaine and phenylephrine hydrochloride in therapeutic preparations based on ultraviolet spectrophotometry and colorimetry. Tetracaine absorbs light strongly in the spectral region of 310 mμ, while phenylephrine shows negligible absorption at this wave length.
