The Raman spectrum as well as conductivity and differential-thermal-analysis (DTA) thermogram of tetramethylammonium hydroxide pentahydrate was observed at various temperatures in order to investigate molecular motion in relation to conductivity and a phase transition.

Temperature dependence of proton chemical shifts of aqueous sodium fluoride, sodium hydroxide, and tetramethylammonium hydroxide: the internal tetramethylammonium ion standard

Proton chemical shifts have been determined over a range of temperature for water, and for aqueous sodium fluoride and sodium or tetramethylammonium hydroxide solutions using Me4N+ as an internal standard. The water results agree closely with those of Hindman and confirm that the shift temperature dependence is not constant over the range 0–100 °C. The

The crystal structure of tetramethylammonium hydroxide pentahydrate has been determined at 25°C by an analysis of the three-dimensional x-ray-diffraction data. The unit cell is orthorhombic with a=12.57, b=10.96, c=7.91 Å and contains four formula units.
