Transport Parameters and Textural Properties of Porous Solids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Based on a study of a set of porous materials with wide range of mean pore radii (from 50 to 3000 nm) and mono- or bidisperse pore structure, transport characteristics and textural properties are compared.

A correlative study on textural properties and crushability of rocks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Rock texture is a term representing the mineral grains, grain sizes, and matrices of rocks. Crushability properties of rocks are very important parameters on an industrial scale and they can be determined by different methods. This study investigated the

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Microenvironmental Reprogramming by 3D Anisotropic Cardiac Extracellular Matrix Induces Nuclear Remodeling and Epigenetic Maturation of Chemically Induced Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D anisotropic hydrogel derived from heart extracellular matrix guides cytoskeletal alignment and nuclear remodeling in reprogrammed cardiomyocyte‐like cells. This study reveals how matrix alignment modulates nuclear envelope dynamics and chromatin state, triggering transcriptional and functional maturation.

Textural and magnetic properties of cross-rolled silicon steels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Silicon steels are widely used for their electrical applications in motors, generators, small transformer cores due to their high permeability, low core losses and their uniform magnetic properties in all directions of the material.

Swelling‐Programmed Topographical Guidance for Dynamic Spheroid Self‐Assembly via a Mechanochemical Hydrogel Niche

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A swelling‐programmed micropatterned hydrogel guides adherent cells through a controlled transition from cell–matrix anchoring to cadherin‐mediated cell–cell compaction, enabling rapid assembly of high‐viability spheroids with defined size and morphology.

Nitrogen sites prevail over textural properties in N-doped carbons for the oxygen reduction reaction [PDF]

open access: yes
International audienceNitrogen-doped carbon-based electrodes are among the most promising alternatives to platinum-based electrodes in the cathode of fuel cells and metal-air batteries, where the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) takes place.

Glyph representation of directional texture properties

open access: yes, 2002
A novel approach to visually represent perceptual features of textures is proposed and analysed. This approach combines statistical properties of the texture together with qualitative measures coming from human perception. Quantitative measures, coming from co-occurrence analysis, have been in turn visually represented using an effective iconic ...

Omnipolar Magnetic Field Detection by Superlattice‐Based Hall Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic‐field‐induced electronic switching is demonstrated in unit‐cell‐engineered La0.7Sr0.3MnO3–BiFeO3 superlattices. Distinct substrate terminations modify magnetic and transport properties. Hall resistance measurements show omnipolar, hysteretic anomalous Hall switching above the Curie temperature, arising from Fe─Mn interfacial exchange, enabling

Textural properties of laksa noodle as affected by rice flour particle size [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This study examined the physicochemical properties of rice flours with five different particle sizes (≤63, 80, 100, 125, and 140 μm) prepared by dry milling and their effects on textural properties of laksa noodles.
